This technique has been known from the film days as the 'Harris Shutter Effect', I just do it digitally and named it trichroic conversions. It is an editing technique where three photos are combined utilizing differing information in the three RGB channels. You can read up how to do this on my Patreon channel.
The effect gives images a very surreal but also colorful and fun aspect. The effect can be very subtle, as seen in the solar eclipse composite, or in-your-face as in most of these.
